Challenge weekend

I attended a fundraiser this weekend, went with my son not knowing exactly what to expect; I only knew it had to do with providing teens and people with the tools and space to make a difference, and this is what I found:

Teen Files 15 Minute Preview from Rodrigo Torres on Vimeo.

I was skeptical at first but by the middle of the film my eyes were moist.
I hope the changes that were made that day lasted for the majority of those who were there but peer pressure can be an enormous influence in a teen's (and adult's) life.
This program was definitely a big step in trying to reduce the intolerance we have toward each other for whatever reason...race, religion, appearance and all the other reasons you can dream up as to why some people think they are better than other people.
I try to live by thinking that I am as good as everybody but I am not better than anybody...unless proven wrong. I have to remind myself of that everyday.
I hope the big flaquito is feeling better.

I hope that the changes made that day were permanent for all of them but peer pressure can be an enormous influence on a teen’s (or an adults) life.
The program appears to be a very big step in reducing the intolerance we have for each other...whether the reason is race, religion, appearance, or any other reason that one can dream up.
I try to live my life by thinking that I’m as good as everybody but I’m not better than anybody....until proven wrong. I usually have to remind myself of either the first part of that or the second part of that almost daily.
I hope your big flaquito is well now.
